HAY! Straws® mission is to provide compostable alternatives to single-use plastics. We were inspired by the anti-plastic and no straw movements fighting to keep single-use plastics out of the landfills and oceans. Single-use plastics, breakdown in to micro plastics, where they release toxic pollutants that harm wildlife and ultimately end up in our human food chain and inside of us. We started a Straw-Volution to ditch plastic straws and replace them with HAY! Straws® - an all-natural and 100% compostable straw… made from straw. Yes, our straws really are made from straw, natural wheat stems to be precise. Since the making of our original HAY! Straw, we have expanded our line to include stir sticks, wider Jumbo, boba straws and also bamboo cutlery and will continue to produce products that align with our mission.
